Chain Mail Care

Normal wear of your chain mail will cause the links to darken. Don’t worry, this is a natural reaction caused by the heat, salt and oils of your skin. To keep your chain mail links looking shiny, simply use any liquid metal cleaner as appropriate for the type of chain mail you have and a soft cloth to polish.

Stephen recommends Brasso and Silvo, which are available at any hardware store or anywhere cleaning products are sold.

For aluminum chain mail pieces you may also use soap and warm water, and a soft cloth to polish.
